Paint like Picasso

Portrait Workshop

Artists like Toulouse Lautrec, Jackson Pollock and Diego Rivera painted while they sipped fine wine, and listened to great music and entertainment.

paint | sip | create brings a little taste of this to people who don’t normally allow themselves time to unleash their creativity.

You don’t need to know a single thing about painting to show up!

We all need more creativity and art. Surprise yourself and paint a one-of-a-kind masterpiece during our professionally led class, in a non-judgemental environment, and take home a portrait in Picasso's Cubist style.

Studio on Whitely workshops are relaxed and fun. You can socialise with friends and new acquaintances, sing along to some great music, or just relax and zone out.

We will provide

atmosphere and inspiration

100% of your materials and painting supplies

2 to 3 hours of instruction, for novice painters. Your facilitator will talk you through everything you need to know, from how to mix paint colours to what sort of brush strokes to use. Want to customise your painting? They will help you with that too.

glasses, and even ice buckets

You need to bring

We invite you to bring something to sip - alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages of choice - to enjoy during the class, while the fun happens.

Bring anything to eat that takes your fancy – cheese, dips, baked goods, or chocolate fountains are always fun!

What to wear

We are going for comfort here! Anything white, made of silk, of sentimental value, or extremely expensive is not the best option at our studio.

Paint splatter happens. Once acrylic paint is on your clothes, it really likes to stay there!

It's nice to show up 30 minutes early

Most painters show up early, to get their food and drinks set up and enjoy a bit of down time with friends and new acquaintances before the painting officially begins. We will start right on time!
